We’ve upgraded the maps features across Tradly, making it much easier to enable Google Maps for your marketplace or commerce website.
Previously, you had to create a Google Cloud account, configure API keys, and manage Google Maps billing separately. Now, Tradly handles all of this for you. Simply enable Google Maps in Superadmin, and your Tradly-hosted website can start using it without any separate Google Cloud setup.
Where can you use Google Maps?
Once enabled, Google Maps powers location-based features across your platform, including:
-
Place search: Let customers search for places and locations.
-
Address autocomplete: Suggest and complete addresses automatically as users type.
-
Listing locations: Allow sellers to add locations to their products, services, or listings.
-
Account locations: Let users set and manage their location information.
-
Map views: Display listings and locations visually on a map.
Usage and billing
Google Maps usage is billed directly through your existing Tradly account, so you don’t need to manage a separate Google Maps subscription or billing account.
From Superadmin → Settings > Maps, you can:
-
Enable Google Maps without setting up your own Google Cloud account.
-
Monitor usage across 7, 30, or 90 days, including API requests, successful requests, errors, and metered units.
-
Set allowed URLs to control which websites can access your maps service.
-
Track operations such as map tile requests and map sessions.
How to enable it
Go to **Superadmin → Settings→ Maps ** and enable Google Maps.
That’s it. Tradly handles the provider integration in the backend, while you get Google Maps functionality on your website with usage-based charges included in your regular Tradly billing.
