Hello
I’ve added norwegian to the language list and made it default, without customizing any strings yet. However, this makes all the listings on my site that was created when English was default disappear (even in the listing section of superadmin) and also users ive created when English was default language dissapear.
Is this intended and that i now have to recreate listings, accounts etc for the new language or is this a bug?
Hi
This is intended as shared in your category post as well. All the data are stored as per its language at the time it’s created
Hence it’s not a bug
Solution1:
What you can do is revert back the language modification you made, the data will come back automatically
And then you create another language. Then the same listings will have language option for you to add translation
Ok i do not quite understand this interaction.
Here I have set Norwegian as language:
My website in the editor under Norwegian language looks like this:
However, when i publish the changes, they remain the same as they did before on the English language:
I’m afraid to for example remove Norwegian and re-add it as maybe it will remove any customization changes i made under that language which are the ones i want,.
Hi
Can you go to editor
https://tradly.app/editor > header > add ‘“language” block
Once you done that, publish.
Now go to your website > switch different language. When you do that, your content will be shown as per the language availability.
Ok i understand, but now i accidentally published the old changes over the new ones when mixing with the languages.
Is there no option to have a language change only change the strings language on the site? It feels very weird for users that want the website in english for example cant see the listings under norwegian language and vice versa.
We are discussing this internally and let you know how to handle scenarios like this
Hi
I checked this again, I see when changing language, contents are loading properly in you website. Am i missing something?
@thahaseen
Yes, i manually changed the customizations to be the same for both languages. But yes you are right, the listings seems to appear for both languages now which they did not do before.
