Hi All,
We have got a request to connect your listings data to Google Merchant Center as this help with advertising on multiple Google Products. Especially when you do youtube ads where the products will be fetched from your Google Merchant Center.
Let’s go through the details
- You may google the benefits of what is Google Merchant Center and why you need to use
- Google Merchant Verification with your Tradly Project
- Product Feed Upload
- 2a. Automatic Product Fetching.
- 2b. Pending Native Upload
1. Google Merchant Verification with your Tradly Project
Integration Link:
After you signup with Google Merchant Center:
You can add business details and verify the domain. You can see I’m using two domains with two different account. You will understand the reason in the next steps
Next verify the domain name
2A. Automatic Product Fetching.
Example: Nammakada.app project
Due to below 3 reasons, automatically updates option is available. Our recommendation is to get the organic traffic coming in, so this saves your time to setup product feed manually.
This project is already receiving organic traffic. And been indexing in google for few months. And also due to our E-commerce Rich Formatting(Done by Tradly) feature for every listing, it is automatically captured by Google
Example: marketplace.tradly.app project
But this project is not receiving enough traffic yet. (This is also due to the reason, it’s a content we already use in another domain). I’m using this domain here only to show a worst case scenario.
As this project is not receiving any traffic, you don’t see the option “automatic updates”
2B. Manual Product Upload
This is where the manual product upload is needed.
Currently you can use Google Sheet Template method:
It’s explained in this Facebook commerce Data source - #3 by Selan
We are hoping to provide other option in near future. Do note that there is already lot of product feed managing solution that can help you with. Example: https://www.godatafeed.com/ , https://feedonomics.com/
