Hi,
I noticed that events and bookings dont have the ability for the Seller to change the order status.
Is this a glitch on my page or intentional?
If it’s intentional, i’m wondering if these negative scenarios are possible :
-
The buyer can cancel an order anytime up to the booking event with no notice. This will reverse the transaction in stripe resulting in a full refund. Not good for a seller.
-
The buyer can cancel an order AFTER the event as the cancel button is still there. This will reverse the transaction in stripe resulting in a full refund. Not good for a seller.
-
The seller won’t get a payout in stripe as "shipped’’ status is normally the trigger for a stripe payout. Not good for a seller.
-
The Seller cannot cancel the order due to unforeseen circumstances, confirm the order (to stop the buyer cancelling) or track if they have emailed (delivered) the buyer an e-ticket.
I looked on my old tested orders and they had the ability for status updates. So this is why i’m not sure if its a glitch or not?
I thought i have found a work around but it wasn’t possible for some reason unknow…
This is what I tried:
Previously in web editor for the cart page, I had “shipping/service method list” only activated for products. I have now activated this to services and events as well.
Added to that, in super admin, I added a shipment method of "e-ticket’’ with
pick up as a method to prevent a delivery fee being added at cart.
But the result was still the order status STILL doesn’t appear on the booking / event page for the buyer:
If it had worked, I could change the string text to something more universal for bookings, digital and physical such as below.
Is there a way to fix this if its a glitch, or find a solution if its not?
