Greetings Tradly Community,
In the ever-evolving landscape of online marketplaces, creating a seamless experience for users is paramount. At Teknokrat Niaga Sdn Bhd, we’ve embarked on a journey to integrate the Tradly platform into our existing system. One of our key challenges has been harmonizing user authentication between our system, powered by Firebase, and Tradly’s feature set.
Here’s the scenario in a nutshell:
Our Starting Point: We already have a robust user authentication system in place, thanks to Firebase. Users can log in and sign up effortlessly, all while maintaining a high level of security. It’s worth noting that we don’t store user passwords locally for added protection.
The Integration Challenge: The Tradly API, understandably, requires user authentication tokens for actions like adding items to a shopping cart. This raised the question: How can we seamlessly integrate Tradly’s functionality into our platform without asking our users to log in again?
Creating Tradly Users: To bridge the gap, we’ve been creating Tradly user profiles for our users during the onboarding process. However, the crux of the challenge lies in making the cart functionality work seamlessly without compromising on security or user experience.
Here are the key queries and hurdles we’ve encountered:
1. Obtaining User Authentication Tokens: Is there a way to acquire user authentication tokens for Tradly via a server-to-server method? Our goal is to securely retrieve these tokens and transmit them to the client for various use cases, all without requiring users to log in again.
or
2. Cart Management: Are there APIs or mechanisms that allow administrators to manually add listings to a user’s cart without relying on user authentication tokens? We want to ensure that our integration remains user-friendly and secure.
Our integration journey with Tradly is rooted in a commitment to user satisfaction, security, and privacy. We recognize the importance of aligning our efforts with industry best practices to create a seamless C2C experience.
We invite our fellow Tradly users and developers to share their insights, experiences, and solutions. Your wisdom and guidance will not only help us but also contribute to the broader community of marketplace enthusiasts.
Thank you for being a part of this exciting journey, and we look forward to your valuable input.
Warm regards,
